Reports from Hollywood say that Russell Crowe is in talks with Warner Bros about playing the lead in a remake of Hollywood classic "A Star is Born", along with Beyonce Knowles.

The film is about an aging Hollywood actor who has been a superstar but his career is on the downhill path now who takes a young, bright model under his wing.

The first film was made in 1937 and starred Fredric March and Janet Gaynor in lead roles.It was remade in 1954 with James Mason and Judy Garland.The 1976 version was hugely successful which cast Barbra Streisand with Kris Kristoffersson, where the story shifted from the film industry to the music business.

The newest version will show Russell Crowe as an out-of-luck musician who falls in love with a young,bright singer played by Beyonce.The film will be directed by Nick Cassavetes.

Russell Crowe has given some great performances in his career like Cinderella Man, American Gangster and his Oscar winning performance in Gladiator.
