Google offering phone support for Nexus One customers

It was only last week that Google posted an advertisement for phone support program manager and now Google is offering telephone support for Nexus One customers.For now, only queries about status of customers' phone orders and shipments will be entertained .

Google is not directly handling technical support calls or inquiries about repairs or returns. For those calls, the support page refers customers to High Tech Computer (HTC), the Taiwanese company that manufactures the phones for Google.

Nexus One customers, the number to call at Google is +1-888-48-NEXUS (63987) between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.

As is well know customer support has been a problem for Nexus One customers.

Customers had no one to call in the event of a problem, when phones started shipping last month.Even when some tried calling HTC or T-Mobile in US, the calls were referred to other and so on and so forth.
