Here is latest Fashion News. Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan dropped yet another bombshell. This time Lilo did not turn up for an Ungaro fashion show. 

Though the tabloid sensation has made her presence felt, attending glamorous parties and even sitting in the front row at John Galliano's fashion show, Lindsay was not where she was most expected to be – on the runway and backstage at Emanuel Ungaro fall 2010 show Monday. The 'Mean Girls' star was named artistic adviser of the French fashion house last year. But her first collection destined for stores this spring was ridiculed in the media and many powerful buyers including Neiman Marcus snapped their purses shut. 

So it was left up to chief designer Estrella Archs -Lohan's partner in design duties - to take a solo bow on Monday. Unagro was fast to react, and the reaction was not good for Li Lo. "She's not involved in this collection," said Asim Abdullah, Ungaro's owner backstage. Immediately after the show, speculation was rife on why Lohan was absent. Some even had an opinion that Lohan wasn't even invited to the show. Last year, when the Lohan/Archs collaboration was announced, it was considered a publicity stunt orchestrated to breathe life into the dying brand. But their debut collection was branded with fashion's most stinging criticism. Lured by the controversy, the fashion pack assembled to see if Lohan would produce another fashion goof-up or reveal the possibility that she's maturing as a designer. 

Lohan was seen around in Paris, so it was presumed that she would be at her own show. Certainly Lohan was expected on the runway. After all, the real measure of a collection's success comes six months down the road, which would be – now. The Lohan/Archs collaboration for Ungaro hits stores this spring. While the media were uniform in their criticism, retailers were torn. According to a Reuters report, Online boutique dropped Ungaro after Lohan's debut. And the U.S. department store chain Neiman Marcus also took a pass. Still, others were supportive. Bloomingdale's, for example, placed orders for the collection, hoping it would attract a younger crowd.

As with many things Lohan, including her relationship with Ungaro and her romance with girlfriend Samantha Ronson, the discourse has blown the whole matter into a big controversy.  Yes, the big question is who dumped whom? Is Ungaro distancing itself from the volatile actress or has Lohan decided fashion is just too darn hard? Just last week, Ungaro's press department said emphatically that Lohan "was still working as an artistic adviser." But Archs contradicted the announcement by insisting Lohan was not involved. Whoever made the call, it was perhaps for the best.

The collection that came down the runway returned to some of the renowned Emanuel Ungaro signatures – bold florals, graphic polka dots, peacock bright colours and rusched and pleated cocktail dresses. The collection had pieces from the spring summer and the Ungaro showroom in Paris will get a closer inspection of the fall line.  As for Lohan, if her foray into French fashion is indeed being cut short, she can always fall back on her line of leggings, which by any measure is a bestseller.
